Project Life - Baby Boy Scrapbook - Max

A week or so ago, Becky Higgins tweeted about a blog post by Katie at Sweet Rose Studio. She is doing Project Life and keeping it simple. Even though I like to add a lot to our weekly pages, I still thought it was great that she was advocating the "keep it simple" approach. I decided to follow along with her and use that method with my son, Max's baby scrapbook. Her first assignment was to complete 2 layouts last week. I completed that "assignment" with Max's scrapbook and am sharing that today.  I have to admit that I did add a few embellishments here and there but kept it simple for the most part.  Here are the pages I completed:

To keep with the simple approach, I am mainly going to use Design A Page Protectors. I am also sticking to the Baby Boy kit from Becky Higgins, along with the coordinating cardstock.  If you have any questions about any of the other embellishments I used, feel free to ask.

    This is gorgeous! Such a great idea, too. I've been working on my daughter's baby book and it has turned into a project life-style album. It's just so much easier!

    This album looks fantastic, I like that it's simple with a few extra embellies, it's all you need to tell the stories. All the photos are fab! x

    Found your layout on Pinterest and I love it! I am beginning my son's PL album he is 7 weeks old!

    I have a question on how you did your monthly stats...so this might be a stupid question and I am reading WAY into it... but how did everyone detail "1 Month" old? Did you right stuff down that before they turned 1 month or did you write down things that baby did when they were one month old (after they turned one month)?

    I would love to have another's input!

      Hi Christina - That is definitely a question I wondered as well. The way Becky Higgins' original baby kit was setup was to record what they did during their first month, second month, etc. so I would write down what they did during month 1, not when they were a month old. I hope that helps. I think the new baby kit is the same but I haven't gotten in to it much yet. Let me know if you have any other questions!
