Project Life Tuesday

For this Project Life Tuesday, I am not really sharing traditional Project Life pages - meaning weekly or monthly layouts. Today, I am sharing how I have been using the Project Life divided photo pocket pages with my 12x12 layouts.

I really like making one page layouts with typically 1-3 photos but it kind of bothers me when the page opposite of it is 1) blank or 2) not the same color scheme. To solve my "issue", I have started putting the extra photos (as I always have more printed than I scrap on a 12x12 layout) in divided photo pocket pages and adding patterned paper and embellishments, so that it "goes" with my one page layouts. I am sharing two of the layouts I have done this way below:

Full Layout 1
Kits Used: Studio Calico July Kit-Elmwood Park and Add-Ons Capture the Flag and Twisty Slide; Additional Supplies: Patterned Paper-October Afternoon (striped); Letter Stickers - October Afternoon (round) and Pebbles (kraft); Journaling Cards - Becky Higgins' Cobalt Core Kit; Becky Higgins Design A Photo Pocket Page and various punches
(Note: Triangles inspired by Lisa Truesdell from the Studio Calico Trendspotting class and "turned over" corners inspired by Becky Higgins.)

Full Layout 2
Kits Used: Studio Calico July Kit-Elmwood Park and Add-Ons Capture the Flag and Twisty Slide; Additional Supplies: Patterned Paper-My Mind's Eye(orange chevron) and Simple Stories (yellow dot); Letter Stickers - American Crafts (yellow) and My Mind's Eye (grey); Mists-Studio Calico Mister Huey in Water Cooler and Powder Blue; Journaling Card - Becky Higgins' Cobalt Core Kit; Becky Higgins Design A Photo Pocket Page and various punches

This is a quick way to show a cohesive look but not have to scrap a double page layout.  Also, if you have extra divided photo pocket pages, this is a good way to use them up.

I am linking up at The Mom Creative today - Check it out for other great PL inspiration.

Hope this gives you some good ideas!
